Encrypted file-sharing is safe and legal alternative for file-sharers

In the aftermath of the recent file-sharing trial where a woman was fined over $200,000 for sharing files on the Kazaa file-sharing network, one has to wonder what alternatives there are out there that would have prevented such a brutal outcome happening.
